My Story
I’m Ryan Currie, the founder of talkBRO.
I am a 30-year-old proud dad to my amazing little boy, Reggie. Born and raised in Didsbury, I spent much of my life DJing around the world before settling into a career in the automotive industry.
After facing my own battles with mental health and reaching a turning point on the 31st October this year, I’ve made it my mission to help other men like me — ordinary guys who might be silently struggling — confront the biggest killer of men under 40: suicide.

My goal is to use my story and platform to drive awareness, conversation, and real change around men’s mental health.

The Misson
We’re here for the everyday me n — the dads, sons, mates, and colleagues — who might look “fine” on the outside but are battling quietly within.

Through open conversations, community events, school, uni & workplace talks, and real-life stories, we aim to build a culture where men feel safe to speak up, seek help, and support each other while offering 24/7 support
for lads who are struggling.

Our vision is simple:
A world where vulnerability is strength, where asking for help is normal, and where every man knows — it’s okay not to be okay
